A Case of Hodgkin¢¥s Disease in Mixed Cellularity

Abstract
Hodgkin¢¥s disease is a malignant tumor, usually arising in the lymph nodes with a histopathologic appearance which includes characteristic giant cells in appropriate cellular background.
A 44-year-old male was admitted to the hospital because of general malaise and back pain. He was well until one year earlier, when palpable lymph nodes, left inguinal, axillary, and submandibular, developed. The patient had lost 10kg in weight during the six months before entry. On physical examination, the edge of the liver descended 4 finger breath below the right costal margin and the spleen was palpated 2 finger breath below the left costal margin. The left axillary lymph node biopsy was given. The result was Hodgkin¢¥s disease in mixed cellularity.
He was treated with a combination of cytoxan, oncovin, procarbazine and prednisone, i.e., COPP regimen. He was not completely performed COPP regimen because of intolerable status and toxic effect of drugs.
